Join the Bar Convent as we take part in the citywide York Georgian Festival 2024!

Discover the beautiful Georgian architecture of our house including the Parlour, and ‘illegal’ Chapel and visit the exhibition to explore the history of the house including the fascinating links with our fellow Catholic Georgians; Fairfax House.

Guided tours will be available, offering an introduction to the history of the house from the Georgian era, as well as the history of the chapel. The free guided tours are scheduled for 11 am and 1 pm, they will give a brief introduction to the Georgian history of the house and its illegal chapel.

Please note: Mass will be taking place in the Chapel on Friday 2 August from 12-12:30, all faiths and none are welcome to join!
